Fireflies’ Light, 2026

evening solitude
dune after dune
the desert moon

river wind
through the bent reed
hu mantra

kintsugi—
sunlight drifts through
the forest canopy

deep furrows
on the farmer’s forehead
drought field

Fireflies’ Light, 2025

dangling leaf—
the weight of
being alone

flooded river
the way moon lost
its shadow

death anniversary—
the snow flowers bloom
in mom’s garden

Fireflies' Light, 2023

lingering moonlight
in the haveli courtyard
family reunion

binge eating
I devour
rhetoric

midsummer rain detoxing the digital rants

Fireflies’ Light: A Magazine of Short Poems

climate change

torrential rain
the loud slogans
of c(l)im(ate)

seashore debris...
the low pitched cry
of a herring seagull

heatwave—
my thoughts sink
into a perfect mirage

pointed icicles
the climate change myths
suspended in the fog

orange clouds
the faded memory
of spring dreams

bushfire—
rows of black stubble
in the family farm

footprints
of the sea ghost...
lichens on a rock

deforestation—
entangled my feet
the gnarled roots

ice eggs
tracing back
my past

arguments
about our future
acid rain

intermittent lightning
I seek solace
in my childhood dreams

climate change—
losing my shadow
in the day fog

haiku grids

nimbus clouds

away from home

passing through

winter dream

drifting in the ripples

apple blossom petals

a moonlit path

lost into the fog

evening thoughts

stick to my hair

the first vow

nostalgia

ice eggs

under my feet

late night journey

without you

into pieces

a big sinkhole

out of nowhere

the falling star lost

old vows

his confession

the blue moon

inside me

Fireflies' Light, 2020

Joseph’s star1, 3, 5, 7, 7, 5, 3, and 1.

bright
summer sky
in a calm river
white sakura petals whirl
revealing inner beauty
that enchants zephyr
to spread our
love

love
in your eyes
a poet's dreams reshape
the slumberous horizon
and rekindle gloomy hues
to uplift my soul
for a true
glimpse

glimpse
of your face
in the morning dew
refreshing my memories
of pearly flowers posy
in your hands for me
our first love
spring

------------------------------

Serendipity(nonet)
serenity dances on summits
of Himalaya peaks that are
interwoven with the strings
of the river fog that
tickle the wounded
heart of dervish
who whirls for
divine
light
