synaptic delays
walking through
the end of time

latent dream
creeping under my skin
night smoke

beyond emptiness
the blood molecules
fall apart

migratory birds
intercepting
my random thoughts

cold snap
the screams curl
into blues

clumsy rhetoric
the white noise
of ravens

whispering
beneath the concrete debris
black moths

absolute dream
wrapping the midnight
a raven’s shadow

(Hifsa Ashraf, 13 Mar)

----

whispers from
the cowrie shells
bare truth

(Hifsa Ashraf, 13 Mar)

------

nothing for free
vending machine
tryst (rct)

recoiling
my late night yawn (ha)

Chicxulub impact
space between us
opening up (rct)

the Pandora's box
of here and now (ha)

----
slowly shifting
the last bit of weight
asteroid belt (rct)

blinking stars
around the irises (ha)

----
nothing for free
vending machine
tryst (rct)

recoiling
my late night yawn (ha)

-------

absolute dream
wrapping the midnight
a raven’s shadow

silver cold
the strings of rain
knitting silence

dopamine dip
under the bridge
mating darkness

silver thaw
the wind carves
its last breath

whispers
from the cowrie shells
bare truth

absolute threshold
my voice becomes
a wishbone
