spring daydreaming

squeezing my shadow

in the koi fish circle

Kashmiri shawl

the colourful threads weave

a tapestry of dreams

early spring breeze

the chorus of sparrows

in the birdbath

deep winter moon

a beggar's bowl full

of the snowflakes

mom's long lullaby

the moonlit waves sway

a shikara boat

bamboo flute song

the reprise of our silence

across the forest

lingering rhapsody

the twilight colours descend

in Kashmiri saffron field

spring dream

a himalayan monal's flight

tinge the blue sky

snow upon snow

on the garden bench

winter seclusion

outgoing tide

a flock of migratory birds

uplift the horizon
