Ancestral Home
ancient wind—
dandelion seeds drift
across the family field
unfolding tales
of love and loss
courtyard fountain—
ripples overlapping
a childhood lullaby
from the balcony
renaming stars
after loved ones
chorus of crickets
echoes through the veranda
lingering dream—
room by room by room
our shadows fade
Inspired by a 125 years old haveli in Chishtian, Punjab, Pakistan— owned by Bhadera Family.
